Option 1 — Simple
A key light for the model and a background light.
The key light works best close to camera axis, with its position adjusted to dial in contrast.
A simple black/white poly-board is used to shape the light — (black for negative fill, white for lift)
A small Silk and Reflector kit is included, along with c-stands, for precise light control and subtle shaping.

Option 2 — Briese. Sculpted, Directional Light
A Briese Focus 77 Parabolic — the classic high-end beauty light.
Positioned above camera for top-down “butterfly” lighting, creating strong shape with soft, controlled skin tones. Can be used with or without diffusion depending on the desired finish.
Contrast is shaped with poly-board (black for negative fill, white for lift), while background position can be adjusted for depth and separation.
The Briese system remains the benchmark for premium beauty lighting.
The boom keeps the light clear of the camera, making life easier on-set. To push the super wind-up further off-set, choose a goal-post set-up.
