Podcast Lighting
This single-source soft light and negative set-up is beautiful in its simplicity. Creating a high-contrast look for a two-person podcast or interview.

Option 1 — Simple, effective Podcast Lighting
Soft, wrap-around light creating gentle transitions

This setup uses a large Aputure Dome 150 for flattering, wrap-around light. The black poly keeps shadows deep and defined, and the light is positioned close to the subjects to create separation from the background. Use small RGB LED lights like the Aputure MC Pro panels, or Astera Helios tubes to add accents and colour for branded content.

Option 2 — Directional / Premium Look
Flattering illumination while keeping the floor clear for cameras and movement.

This is a classic high-end overhead cross-lighting configuration, designed to provide soft, flattering illumination for a two-person interview or podcast. By mounting the lights on a goalpost rig rather than individual stands, the crew keeps the floor clear for cameras and movement. Again, the addition of small RGB LED lights like the Aputure MC Pro panels, or Astera Helios tubes can add accents and/or colour for branded content.
