A big step forward from the ubiquitous 1st generation Arri Sky Panel.
New features include IP66 harsh weather protection, a HyperOptic lens, double the CCT range (1,500 K - 20,000 K), an internal ballast and a yoke for grouping 3 heads into a single fixture.
The drop-in HyperOptic lens makes the X21 a directional source, focusing the light into a punchy oval beam with a single shadow.
Swapping the HyperOptic for the X21 Dome, the SkyPanel is softened and can be further modified with a DOP Choice soft box, eggcrate and snoot.
Weather proofing and the integration of the ballast are welcome features which make the equipment safer and more practical for outdoor use.

X23 Modular Frame
The X23 Modular Frame is a system that allows the mounting of three X21 fixtures in an array. The system includes aluminum profiles with integrated daisy chain cabling for Ethernet and power, yoke adapters, large stainless-steel handles, high strength tilt locks and robust tilt lock levers. Each frame includes three Quick-Lock Brackets that are optimized for use with HyPer Optics and X21 Domes, and the distance between brackets can be adjusted for use with S60 Adapters. The product also includes an angle indicator close to the side lever and two truss pins that hold the frames in place when mounted onto the X Modular Yoke. The Modular Frame can be inserted in the X Modular Yoke for a seamless stirrup format.
